SIM NO LONGER ACCEPTING INSURANCE

Dear Patients of Stanwood Integrative Medicine (SIM) and Dr Carrie Hardy,
First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude for entrusting your health care to us at our clinic. Over the years, we have been fortunate to have established a strong bond with each and every one of you, and we are truly grateful for your continued loyalty.
As you may be aware, the health care industry is ever-changing, and as part of these changes, we have unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to no longer accept insurance. This letter is intended to provide you with some clarity on why we have had to make this change, and how it will affect your health care moving forward.
It has become increasingly challenging for medical providers to keep up with the growing demands of insurance companies, as well as the constantly changing regulations and policies. By no longer accepting insurance, we can continue to dedicate the time and attention to providing you with the highest level of care possible, without the constraints that come with dealing with insurance companies.
We understand that this may come as a surprise, and that you may have questions about how this will impact your health care and financial responsibilities. We want to assure you that we are here to help navigate this process with you, and we will do our best to make it as smooth and easy as possible.
While we will no longer be accepting insurances in the upcoming year, we will continue to provide the same level of care and attention that you have come to expect from us. We will still see you for your regular check-ups, and provide the same range of services that we always have. The timing for when insurances will no longer be accepted will be based on the insurance and my contract with them.
In terms of payment, we will require payment at the time of service. All office visits will be charged based on time that was spent with each patient. A superbill will be provided to each patient and you will be able to submit this directly to your insurance company for them to reimburse you directly.
We understand that this may be an inconvenience for some of our patients, but we truly believe that this change will allow us to provide you with even better care, and to focus on what really matters- your health and well-being.
We are sincerely grateful for your understanding, and we hope to continue to serve you in the years to come.
Below is a clarification of when the contract for each insurance is ending.
Sincerely,

Carrie L Hardy, ND
